Principal's Message

Happy April, Bulldogs!

We are looking forward to another amazing week as we get closer to the end of our school year. This Friday is PTA’s Spirit Sprint so make sure you have registered your child and that they have on comfortable clothing with appropriate running shoes so they can get in lots of laps! I hope you will also be able to stop by the Autism Walk on Saturday, April 11 at Showalter Field to walk some laps, raise money, and help bring awareness to Autism which is something near and dear to our hearts. FINAL DETAILS FOR ONE LOVE SPIRIT SPRINT!

The Brookshire Spirit Sprint is officially this week, Friday, April 10th! We are incredibly close to our $10,000 goal, and every registration helps us get there.

Event Day Checklist:

Dress Code: Students are encouraged to wear running shoes and their Brookshire tie-dye shirts or any Brookshire spirit wear.
Attendance: We’d love to have you there to cheer on your Bulldog! Please ensure your ADDitions approval is active if you plan to attend.
The Grand Finale: Don’t forget - if we hit our goal, our top earners get the honor of turning Principal Ledesma into an Ice Cream Sundae!

URGENCY: HELP US FILL OUR 2026-2027 EXECUTIVE BOARD

The Brookshire PTA is a volunteer-led organization, and right now, we have several key leadership vacancies on our Board for next year. These roles are essential to our operations – without a full board, many of the events and programs our Bulldogs love simply cannot happen.

To ensure a smooth transition and a successful 2026-2027 school year, we need to identify our new officers soon. Whether you are a “numbers person”, a great communicator, or a natural organizer, we have a seat for you! Applications due by Friday, April 17.

Why step up for a Board position?

Direct Impact: You decide how we support our teachers and staff as well as influence the programs and events our students love.
Leadership: Build your resume while building your community.
Community: You’ll work alongside a fantastic team, meet fellow parents, and build lasting friendships.

Looking for something a bit “smaller”? If you want to help, but aren’t ready for a leadership role, our committees are the perfect fit. These roles focus on specific tasks or events and are a great way to get involved and make a big difference in an easy, low pressure way! Interest Form due by Friday, May 1.
