I hope you will join me and the other parents at our next SAC meeting on Tuesday, October 7 at 3:15 PM in the media center. Then on Wednesday, get your walking shoes or wheels ready for Walk to School Day. Make sure to stop by the PTA wheel at the walker picnic tables.

Do you have questions about what ESOL means and what resources there are for parents of English learners? What about elementary curriculum, testing, or the term MTSS? Then come on out to the Multilingual Parent Leadership Council Meeting and Curriculum Night on Thursday where our amazing assistant principal and instructional coach will be presenting about these topics. The MPLC meeting will start at 5:30 PM and Curriculum Night will follow at 6:00 PM. Both will be held in the cafeteria.

Don’t forget to make arrangements for Monday, October 13th since there’s no school that day. Teachers are afforded a work day to enter their final grades before report cards. We will see everyone back on Tuesday, October 14 to kick off Pink Week! Check out the flyer below for additional information.

We’re excited to open the application for the Bobbie Lytle Outstanding Teacher Award for the 2025-26 school year! We hope to expand the applications this year far and wide throughout the community. Please share the link below with your parents, fellow educators, staff, and community partners and members. 

Bobbie Lytle was a beloved and inspirational teacher. The Outstanding Teacher Award was created to provide a cash award of $2,500 deserving teachers at Dommerich and Brookshire Elementary Schools. 

All members of the two schools’ communities – faculty, staff, parents, students and neighbors – may nominate a deserving teacher. 

Nominations will close on April 17, 2026 at 5:00 PM. 

Join us for a night of community, fun, and giving back to Brookshire PTA! Family Movie night will be Wednesday, October 1, and we will be showing Ratatouille. Tickets are $3 per person or $10 for a family of 4. The market starts at 6:00 PM (food and craft vendors) and the movie will start at 7:00 PM. Our Pop Up Shop is a fun opportunity for our Bulldogs to purchase inexpensive items for themselves and help raise money for PTA's One Love Fundraiser! The Shop will be open every Friday morning in October in the school lobby from 8:20 AM-8:40 AM. 

We are in need of volunteers to help run the shop on Fridays from 8:00 AM-8:45 AM. Any day you can volunteer will be such a help! Please use the link below to sign up.
