A NEWSLETTER FOR THE BROOKSHIRE SCHOOL COMMUNITY

Principal's Message

Hello bulldogs!

I hope you will come out to our next SAC meeting on Tuesday at 3:15 PM in the media center. It’s a great way to hear about updates about Brookshire and ask questions. PTA has planned many fun activities for Wednesday including Walk and Roll, ice cream for sale at walkers, and skate night! Come out and support our amazing PTA and all that they do to help make Brookshire a fun school for our students.

Thank you to all the families who have already registered for Jump Rope for Heart. It’s not too late if you haven’t registered yet. Students will get to participate in the final event for this fundraiser on Friday during specials time.

Finally, don’t forget that you’ve got another three-day weekend coming up! There’s no school on Monday, February 16 in honor of Presidents’ Day. Enjoy that extra sleep and day of fun or relaxation. We’ll see all our bulldogs back on Tuesday, February 17.

Looking forward to another focused, fantastic week!
Gratefully,

Mrs. Bethany Ledesma

GIFTS FROM THE HEART IS BACK FOR ONE LOVE!

These are donated experiences from some of our amazing faculty and staff that you can purchase – each entry gives you a chance to win!
A graphic announces 'Gifts from the Heart' with text about raffle entries and winners announced March 1.
A graphic with the text 'REGALOS DEL corazón' and 'LOVE' at the top, promoting a raffle.
Raffle details:

  • Each entry is $1, with a $10 minimum
  • Winners for each raffle will be selected randomly on February 28.

Your child could:
  • Have breakfast with a teacher and friend
  • Be Principal for the Day
  • Create a special craft with a friend and faculty member
  • Enjoy an afternoon dance party
  • Anchor the morning news

…and so much more!

Buying for multiple children on the same raffle? If more than one child wants the same experience, we recommend having a partner or friend make a separate purchase so entries are under two different names. Example, if both children want to be principal for the day, purchase some raffle tickets under your name and have a family member purchase additional tickets under theirs. Be sure to list the child’s name in the “Donation preferences” section.

Please take a moment to show your child the options and see which raffle(s) they’d like to try for!

Good luck!
